You can never ran out of things to do in Siargao, however, island hopping is the activity that you should never miss! This was our fist tour during our 5-day vacation in Siargao. Daku, Naked, and Guyam Island — These are the three beautiful islands that you’ll get to see once you sign up to the tour. It’s a short boat trip away from General Luna.
There are 2 different types of tour which you have the liberty to choose from — both has the same set of islands but there’s a big difference when it comes to the price. You can get a private tour package like us, rate was 1000/head including Magpupungko Rock pools, inclusive of environmental fees, lunch and cottage rental at Daku island. Second option is to hire a boat for 1500-2000 php where you’ll be piled up with other tourists. You’ll take care of your own lunch, pay environmental fees and secure your cottages.
The second option is a good deal if you want to save and meet other people while on a tour. This is also advisable if you’re a solo traveler. You may buy food from the town’s market which is just beside the pick up and drop off point for island hopping. Locals at Daku island can cook the food for you for a fair fee.
Also, there are tours that would offer an island hopping + Sohoton cove tour in one day, though this would require you to always be in a hurry given that time is always at the essence. If you want to chill out and just waste your day enjoying the islands, then I would suggest getting Siargao Island hopping and Sohoton tour separately.

Since we started the day at Magpupungko Rock Pools., it was already around 11:00 am when we started island hopping: perfect time for lunch! Our first stop was Daku island, the largest of the three islands. We stayed for about 3 hours — our longest stay out of the three islands. A perfect tropical paradise where you can enjoy the turquoise water all you want, walk under the palms, and chill out in their native cottages.
Our second stop was Naked island. Naked in such a way that it’s totally bare except for a bit of grass — thanks to the birds dropping some seeds. It’s a long stretch of fine, white sand bar. There’s nothing much to do there although we love how laid back life can be while doing nothing, just swimming through the shallow part of the ocean, drinking beer, and feeling the sand under your feet. It can get too hot as well, given that it’s totally bare so we didn’t stay long.
Guyam island was our last stop, this one’s a tiny island, 10 minutes is more than enough to roam around it. Like Daku island, it has full of coconut trees where you may chill out or just take a photo with. 😀 We we stayed for around an hour until almost sunset before we head back to General Luna.
