Bacalla Woods Campsite – Explore with Nature

Bacalla Woods Campsite in San Fernando Cebu may not be new to Cebuanos. A chill out camping spot where you can disconnect to the city life even if you’re not too far away from the Metro. With my weekend wanders project, I decided to experience the camping experience, in a legit camping site!

Things to Remember:
  • Bring a mosquito repellant. If you’re planning to stay overnight in Bacalla Woods, please don’t forget to bring a mosquito repellant. You’ll be camping in the middle of the forest, so expect mosquitos all over the place.
  • No cellular signal. It’s the perfect place to disconnect. There won’t be any cellular signal (all network).
  • You can cook although it would be best to bring your own cook set.
  • Make a reservation. Bacalla woods is not accepting walk in guests as of writing, so make a reservation ahead of time on their Facebook page, email:bacalla.campsite@philippineextremesports.com or contact them at 0923-825-6945

Bacalla Woods Campsite - In-house dog: Bagsik

Meet Bagsik, the friendly in-house dog who’ll welcome every guest on the campsite. He can get too friendly at sometimes, and considering his built, he might give you a few scratches (from his nails) if your’e not too careful.

  • Overnight Camping in the middle of the woods (Tent/Hammock/Native Room)
  • Trekking
  • Try their infinity swing
  • Skateboarding
  • Chasing Sunrise
  • Talk to strangers and make friends
Bacalla Woods Swing

Bacalla woods experience will never be complete without trying their makeshift skateboard swing. Great for thrill seekers but my knees were literally shaking knowing it’s a cliff and you’ll hit solid ground if ever things go wrong. Haha!
