The municipality of Aloguinsan, a province of Cebu, Philippines, has always been known with their great beaches like Hermit’s cove and the ever famous Bojo River .When we visited the place, we also got the chance to drop by their baluarte where a handful of history took place.
One of the many reasons why I love Cebu is you can always squeeze a weekend beach break, that we all need to have, once in a while. It’s easy to get a quick bus ride down South of Cebu, Phiippines and choose a pit stop to several beach locations that you may prefer.

Anyone living in Cebu is familiar with the highest peak in the island of Cebu which is approximately 1000 meters above sea level. Aloguinsan is well known for their secluded beaches and you shouldn’t miss visiting Hermit’s Cove if you get the chance to visit the place. It’s secluded, and you have to go through a long bumpy ride up the cliff to go down again on a stair around 87 steps — it’s quite inconvenient to listen (or to read?) but wait until you see the place. For me, it’s heaven on Earth! We went straight to this place after visiting Bojo river.
