Wandering Tableau: Reasons why it’s fun to travel with your bestfriends

For the recent blog posts that I published, most looked like I’m taking an adventure only with my partner, but behind all the solo takes, was a fun gang that I am always with. For this wandering tableau installment, let’s talk about the reason’s why I love travelling with my the friends I consider as family away from home.

IT’S BUDGET FRIENDLY. This will always be on top of the list. We all have tips and tricks to save while travelling. Even solo travelers can as well do a budget friendly itinerary. Traveling in a group though is one of the effective tips to cut the expenses. More heads means more people to share the costs.

SHARING IS LOVING. We all have a friend who’s always prepared and would always carry every “kikay” stuff there is. From an extra bikini, down to the least important thing to bring while traveling. We also have this friend who would tend to forget everything, it’s like always like an impromptu getaway for her. With your girlfriends, you get to share things, even exchange bikinis, cover-ups, sunglasses, tents…the list can be never ending.

SOMEONE GOT YOUR BACK. It’s not always pretty when we’re travelling, there’s the good and the ugly but with your best friends, you would always feel that no matter what happens, someone’s always be there to catch your back. At the end of the day, a friend would always lend a helping hand may it be in the middle of the sea, on top of the summit, or in the middle of the somewhere.

TEST YOUR TEAMWORK. We are living in a century that everyone wanted to get the perfect selfie. (Or is it just us?) Your girlfriends would do the trick to get the best photo you can get on a trip. They are the ones who has the patience to take gazillion photos just to get your perfect shot. And you are expected to return the favor. Teamwork at its finest.

THEY DON’T JUDGE. You can be at your worst or at your overly best behavior with them. You go out and look like your worst or even wear make up on the beach without them judging, take a million selfies without them asking you to cut off the crap. They won’t judge you, AND would even join you.

MORE LAUGHTER. We all have a different takes on travelling. Some would want to travel to find their selves. Some would want to just distress and there are those who wanted to catch up with their friends in a form of a getaway. With your girlfriends, you laugh a little harder and maybe transform a bad experience to something funny. Lastly, you get to enjoy and create an experience with your friends that you all could keep and cherish.

To conclude, travelling with your best friends is never a bad idea. If the friendship is real, then there should be no problem traveling with a crowd..unless if there’s an issue going on that you don’t want to claim, then that would be a different story. Hehe! Always keep and create new memories with the people that you consider your siblings from a different mother.

How about you, when was the last time that you travel with your best friends?

Oh, I cannot remember when was the last time that I traveled with my girl friends. I consider my boyfriend as my best friend too although there are some personal things that I cannot share to my boyfriend. I can say that there are still things to do which is better to share with my girl friends. I guess one reason why I haven’t travelled with my girl friends for a long time is because all of them are married already and I am the only one single. They have different priorities now compared to those times that we were all single.

Traveling with friends sounds great. I’d enjoy a weekend away. I think it’s been over 15 years since I’ve gone out of town with friends. Need to plan a trip soon.

It’s great to be with friends. At younger ages, it’s that part of cultivating that friendship and discovering, exploring new things that make it fun. But hurry up and travel (within budget and means) because as the years pass by, it becomes more difficult to get together. Priorities change when there is a family already.

Travelling with loved ones is always one of the best things to do 🙂 It’s always fun to go on getaways with your girlies! The different personalities make it all the more colorful. It’s alao good to take turns when planning, choosing a new place to go to, or an activitiy to do.

I have to admit it has been a while since the last time I’ve traveled with my friends. Since I’ve left Portugal, my home country, I couldn’t really connect deeply to anyone here, even though I have my colleagues and acquaintances. Well, now I’m moving again, and I’m moving to my partner’s home country so hopefully I’ll meet more people there and make more friends, because that connection you have with yours in those photos is really inspiring <3 Happy you had such a nice time.

You’re just so right with all the reasons you have shared Kris. I haven’t gotten a chance to travel with my best friend, but if ever we can travel together, it’ll surely be a fun filled experience with so much LOL moment along the way. Your photos have conveyed so much fun and you all truly have enjoyed.

You know living in Sweden, which isn’t my home country, made me loose friends. I wish I had a group of girls around me like you have here in Sweden. That would be so much fun! Feel blessed!

Traveling with your bestfriends, for me, is no doubt one cool decision. They are after all your best buddies because you love them.and you share many things in common. But if no common things bind you, at least there is the love and respect which make you click despite the differences. I bet your trip is always fun with them around.

I miss traveling with my friends! Nowadays, that’s almost impossible since we all have different schedules, different responsibilities, and even different time zones! But I do travel with my husband a lot, and he’s my best friend, so that’s fine 🙂 Still, traveling with girlfriends is an entirely different experience. I’m glad I was able to do that when I was younger!

If you travel with your best friends, you don’t have to worry about anything. You can just be your crazy self. I’ve always wanted to travel with my best friends but our schedules don’t match easily but we just aim to eat together or even catch just whenever we’re free. Btw, I love your photos! It just showed that you truly are happy to be with each other! 🙂

I agree! Surely it is really fun travelling with friends, esp. girlfriends! Me and my friends always plan to have a getaway but due to family obligations and time constraint we always ended up not pushing through. I wish we could travel like this soon!

Its been some time that I ventured out with friends. ‘Out’ means out of Delhi where I live. But, oh those moments are forever etched in my memories. You are right, friends do not judge.

I can relate to this post so much! Your travel buddy should be people you’re comfortable with for a couple of days. And friends are always the best travel buddy because just like us, they understand why we want to travel and why we want to go to certain places. This will also somehow test how strong your friendship is. 🙂

All the feels. I can’t remember when I last when on a trip with my BFFs since work has overtaken everything (aside from communication). I love that you girls find time for one another and catch up on the latest happenings in the others’ lives. Love your shots! Yes, travelling in groups are cheaper and WAAAYYY more meaningful. At the end of the day, it’s not the places you’ve visited that will stay, but the conversations you had with the people. 🙂

Your post is so spot on! I’m the type of traveler who enjoys doing it with friends. For me, traveling is about collecting memories and I want to share them with my best friends. Yes, it’s good for the budget, plus, it’s nice to have that support system while on the road. Somehow, the experience have cemented my bond with my best girlfriends and makes being on the road, even in worst situations, extra fun and enjoyable.

We’ve been on trips twice, and now back to back one of the other is pregnant or with an infant. So I guess its gonna take another couple years to resume our gals only trip. Btw, you gals look gorgeous.

It is indeed not a bad idea. I even regret not doing enough of these when I was younger. Travel together when you come because there comes a time that these adventures will be the tales you tell your future kids and Godkids. 😉
